How to create a broadcast
Broadcast is powerful tool allows you to efficiently send targeted messages to a large group of users at once, saving you time and effort
Steps to create a broadcast
Select Contacts
- Open your ChatDaddy dashboard and hover over the left-side menu and locate Automation. Then, click on Broadcasts.
- Click the Create button in the top right corner to begin setting up your broadcast
- Choose your target recipients who will receive the broadcast. There are 3 ways to select this
- Import CSV: Download the provided template, add your contacts, and upload the completed file.
- Filter Contacts using Conditions: Use specific conditions such as tags, assignee, channel, etc. to narrow down your target audience
- Manually Select the Contacts: Manually select which contacts you want to send the broadcast to using the dropdown list
Settings
- Select/Create the message flow you want to send
- Decide if you want to send the broadcast immediately or schedule it for a later time
- Pick the channel you want to use to send this broadcast
Important Note: While ChatDaddy allows you to select multiple channels, this is not recommended. Doing so can lead to inconsistent message delivery, with some messages going through channel A and others through channel B. It's best to choose a single channel for each broadcast to ensure consistent results.
- Assign a clear and recognisable name to your broadcast for easy reference in the future
Advanced Settings
- Sending Speed: Set the speed at which messages are delivered, ranging from safe (lower risk) to fastest to custom speeds
- Only broadcast to contacts you have a message history with
- Keep Sending Speed to Slow/Normal (selected by Default)
If you have a regular WhatsApp number(Not WABA), follow these steps to avoid bans:
- Broadcast Hour: Specify a time window during which messages will be sent
- Simulate Human Behaviour: Make the broadcast appear more natural by simulating typing and marking messages as read.
- Cancel Following Messages on Client Response: If your message flow has branching paths, this setting cancels all further messages if the client responds.
Final Review and Send
- Carefully review all your broadcast settings, including recipient selection, message content, scheduling, and channel selection
- Once you're satisfied with everything, click the Save & Send button on the bottom right
