Step-by-Step Guide: Connect WhatsApp App Coexistence on ChatDaddy
⚠️ WhatsApp is changing fast! If you’re still using WhatsApp Business the old way, you could be at high risk of restrictions or bans in 2026.
Follow the steps below to connect your WhatsApp Business App using App Coexistence so you can keep replying on your phone while enjoying automation and team features in ChatDaddy.

Step 1: Go to Channel Setup
- Log in to ChatDaddy
- Click Get Started – or go to Inbox → Manage Channels
- Click Add Channel (top right)
- Select WhatsApp Business API
- Review the advantages & limitations, then click Continue to Connect
Step 2: Choose App Coexistence
- Select:
- Create new account (if you don’t have WABA yet), or
- Connect existing WhatsApp Business API
- Click WhatsApp Business App Coexistence
👉 Recommended if you want to keep using your WhatsApp Business App on your phone
⚠️ Important Notes:
- If you’re in an unsupported country, use WhatsApp Business API instead
- WhatsApp calling is not supported
- Open your WhatsApp Business App at least once every 14 days to keep the channel connected
Step 3: Connect Coexistence via Meta Platform
- Click Connect with Facebook
- You’ll be redirected to Meta’s registration page
- Click Continue → Get Started
- Select your Business Portfolio
- If you don’t have one, click Create new business portfolio
- Click Next
Step 4: Enter Your WhatsApp Number
- Select WhatsApp Business App Coexistence
- Enter your WhatsApp Business phone number
- Click Next
Step 5: Approve Connection on Your Phone
You’ll receive a WhatsApp message from Facebook Business.
👉 On your phone:
- Tap Connect, or
- If you didn’t receive the message:
- Android: Menu → Account → Business Platform
- Phone: Settings → Account → Business Platform
- Tap Connect to Business Platform
📌 You can choose:
- Share all chats or don’t share any chats
Then:
- Tap OK
- Scan the QR code shown on ChatDaddy
⏳ Connection may take up to 45 seconds
✅ If successful, you’ll see a confirmation screen on your phone.

Step 6: Finalize Setup in ChatDaddy
- Select your Time Zone
- Review access permissions
- Click Continue
- You’ll see a confirmation message on your phone
Step 7: Add Payment Method (Required for Broadcasts & Templates)
To send:
- Marketing messages, Follow Ups , Utility & authentication messages
- Click Add Payment Method
- Enter your card details
- Click Done
Step 8: Confirm Connection
If the channel status shows:
✅ Connected & Approved
You can now send and receive messages immediately 🎉
Optional:
- Click the three dots (⋯) → Settings
- Update your Channel Name
- Click Confirm
🎉 You’re All Set!
Go to Inbox and start chatting with your customers right away.
