Poll Button Interaction Limitation
Poll Button Interaction not Responsive
π Overview
When using poll buttons in message flows, you may experience misfire triggers, where the sender does not receive the recipient's response in real-time. This can affect the visibility of replies or actions taken by users.
πΌ Example of the Issue

The message shown on left shows the response of a poll button misfire when recipient selected the poll.
π Current Performance
Our recent stress tests show that 94% β 96% of polls are receiving the correct responses.
We are continuously working to improve this success rate to make poll button usage as close to foolproof as possible.
β Why This Happens
Poll buttons operate differently from native interactive messages. As a result:
- Responses could not be translated from poll option.
- Not reflected immediately in your Poll Button.
- The recipient may have clicked a button, but the sender receive a different response.
- This is due to technical limitations in how poll button interactions translate in between devices and systems.
β How to Reduce Poll Button Misfire
To improve reliability:
- Use poll buttons for non-critical interactions where immediate response is not essential.
- For time-sensitive workflows, consider using standard text prompts or simplified message flows that don't rely on button-based input.
π‘ Recommendations
- If you're experiencing frequent poll button issues, consider downloading our message flow template here.
- Example: Responses will reply as β A new vote was cast in this pollβ
- Automated message will be sent to recipient to manually respond with messages.
- This approach provides more reliable tracking of responses and is less affected by the poll buttonβs technical limitations.
Note: After a recipient sends a manual reply, the conversation will not continue automatically. You will need to handle the rest of the conversation manually
