Why Business Verification Matters
Meta’s Business Verification process confirms that your business is legitimate. Verification is required for:
- Migrating your phone number to a new Business Solution Provider (BSP) (e.g., ChatDaddy).
- Increasing your WhatsApp messaging limits.
- Applying for a WhatsApp Official Business Account (OBA).
- Adding more than 2 phone numbers to your WhatsApp Business API account.
Requirements for Verification
1. Admin Access
You must be an Admin in your Meta Business Manager (MBM) to perform the verification.
2. Complete Business Info
Make sure your Business Information in MBM matches your official records, including:
- Legal Business Name
- Business Address
- Business Phone Number
- Business Email
- Website
3. Supporting Documents
Prepare 2–3 of the following documents to support your verification:

Steps to Verify Your Business
- Go to Business Settings → Security Center → Start Verification.
- Add your organization’s details (Name, Address, Phone number, Website).
- Select a contact method to receive a confirmation code.
- Upload your supporting documents.
- Enter the confirmation code and click Done.
⏱ You’ll receive an email or MBM notification within 10 minutes to 14 business days confirming your verification status.

If Your Verification Is Rejected
Common reasons for rejection include:
- Incomplete or inconsistent organization details.
- Unreadable or invalid documents.
- Mismatch between your MBM info and legal documents.
What to do:
- Review the reason in Security Center .
- Ensure your business details match the documents.
- Re-submit with corrected or additional documents.

🏷 Display Name Review
Once verification is complete, Meta will automatically begin the Display Name Review for all your WhatsApp phone numbers.
- You must reach the 1K messaging limit tier (125 messages in 7 days).
- Your Display Name appears to customers on WhatsApp Business profiles.
- Approval typically takes 1–2 business days.
💡 Use your official business or brand name to increase the chance of approval. Ensure it follows Meta’s Display Name Guidelines.
