Meta limits access to certain advertising and messaging features until a business meets specific requirements. By creating a business portfolio, you can:
Manage all your business assets (Pages, Ads, Instagram, Catalogs, etc.) from one dashboard.
Securely assign permissions to team members and partners.
Prepare for business verification and WhatsApp Business API setup.
Before you begin
✔️ You must have a personal Facebook account — used to log in to Meta Business Suite.
✔️ You can create up to 2 business portfolios (this doesn’t limit how many you can join).
✔️ Business portfolio permissions override individual asset permissions.
Steps to create a Business Portfolio
Go to business.facebook.com on a desktop browser.
Click Create account.
Log in with your personal Facebook account. If you don’t have one, click Create account.
Click Create a business portfolio.
Enter your business details:
Business portfolio name (should match your public business name; avoid special characters).
Your name.
Business email (used by Meta for communication; not visible to customers).
Click Submit or Create.
Confirm your business email address via the confirmation email sent by Meta.
After creating your portfolio
Once you’ve created your business portfolio, you can add business assets, such as Pages, ad accounts, datasets and Instagram accounts:
