After upgrading to WhatsApp Co-existence, your WhatsApp will still work normally on the phone, but some features will work differently from the normal WhatsApp app.

These changes are normal because the account is now connected to the official WhatsApp system.

1️⃣ Chats May Look Different

  • Only 1-to-1 chats from the last ~6 months will appear in the system

  • Older chats may not be shown

  • Group chats will not sync into the system

Your WhatsApp app will still show full chat history.

2️⃣ Some WhatsApp Features Will Not Work

The following features are not supported in the system:

  • Disappearing messages

  • View-once photos/videos

  • Live location sharing

These features can still be used inside WhatsApp App only.

3️⃣ Calls Only Work on Your Phone

Voice and video calls:

✅ Work in WhatsApp Business App

❌ Do not work inside ChatDaddy

This is normal behaviour.

4️⃣ Messages Cannot Be Edited or Deleted

Messages sent from the system:

❌ Cannot be edited

❌ Cannot be deleted

❌ Cannot be forwarded

Please double check messages before sending.

5️⃣ First Message May Need Template Approval

If you want to:

  • Send broadcast messages

  • Send notifications

  • Message customers first

You will need a Meta-approved template.

Template approval usually takes:

⏳ 5 minutes – 24 hours

6️⃣ Billing Is Managed by Meta

WhatsApp message charges are billed by Meta directly.

If payment is overdue:

⚠️ Messaging may stop temporarily

You can check billing in:

Meta Business → Billing

7️⃣ Contact Names May Not Match

Sometimes you may see:

  • Phone number instead of name

  • Different contact name

This is normal because the system reads contacts differently from your phone.

8️⃣ WhatsApp Must Be Opened Regularly

Please open your WhatsApp Business App regularly.

If the app is not opened for more than 14 days, the connection may expire.

9️⃣ The Account Needs Warm-Up Time

After upgrade:

  • Messaging limits may be lower at first

  • Template submission may be limited

  • Meta may review the account

This is normal.

Usually stabilizes within:

⏳ 3–7 days

🔵 Important

WhatsApp Co-existence is an official Meta solution, so some features are controlled by Meta and cannot be changed.

These limitations are normal for all providers.
