WhatsApp does not allow special characters in button text — that's a Meta platform rule, not a ChatDaddy one.
If you add characters like !, ?, &, emoji or symbols to a button label, ChatDaddy strips them automatically before sending. Without this the entire message would be rejected by WhatsApp.
Button label rules (Meta):
- Max 20 characters
- Plain text only — no special characters or emoji
- Keep it action-focused: "View menu", "Talk to sales", "Confirm booking"
Tip: put personality in the message body (emoji are fine there) and keep buttons plain.
