When a message can't be delivered, the root cause is often a decryption failure on the recipient's WhatsApp client. Our platform's overall delivery success rate is 97% — the unsuccessful 3% is almost entirely Meta-side encryption handshake failure.
Triggers for Decryption Failure
- Recipient's WhatsApp app is outdated
- Recipient never sent a message first (no encryption handshake)
- iPhone iMessage interference
- Network state mismatch between sender and recipient at the moment of send
Customer-Facing Fix
