Rescanning the QR code might recover messages — but it's not guaranteed, and it has side effects.
What a rescan actually does: it creates a fresh session with WhatsApp, which re-pulls chat history. WhatsApp decides how much history to hand over (typically the most recent messages, not everything).
Possible side effects:
- Different data being pulled than before (some chats gain history, others don't)
- Longer sync times while the backlog processes
- Temporary service disruption while the channel reconnects
✅ Best practice: rescan during non-working hours, and wait 30–60 minutes for the sync to settle before judging the result.
